Enola Holmes

I was originally interesting in seeing this movie because of Henry Cavill. I also knew I had to watch it with my writing partner in crime, Aimee Nicole Walker. Because we have agreed in a court of law to share custody of Henry. I get him on the weekends starting Friday and she has him Monday - Thursday.

Anyway, I digress.

I don't normally watch movies where kids are the leads. Precocious kids who are quick with comebacks don't appeal to me really.

But, I am pleased to say that this movie was delightful. Rarely do I use that term to describe a film. But, Milly Brown was so smart and pleasant in the film and her acting was exceptional 👏.

Henry's acting was pretty good too, considering that I don't consider him a great actor. The plot was intriguing and engaging, never a dull moment to me, and the 4th wall break kept the audience's attention in tact.

Comedic timing was on point as well as the dramatic and action sequences. Witty dialog, charming characters all around. Just enjoyable from start to finish.

FINAL VERDICT: INNOCENT LIKE A VIRGIN ON THEIR WEDDING NIGHT. Netflix proving again why it ain't going nowhere. Neither Disney+ nor HBOMax will be taking out this juggernaut when they continue to produce quality entertainment like this. Movie, you are free to leave my courtroom. Your parents raised your right.
