When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I wasn't all that interested. Nothing I'd seen in the trailer looked like anything I hadn't already seen before.
But, I saw so much hype about this movie on my SM, that I was thinking maybe there might be something more to this film.
For me... it wasn't. I was bored out of my mind watching this movie.
As soon as I hit play, I was traveling down Foreshadow Road and saw the conclusion coming miles away.
Very predictable, as I'd called the ending 40 mins in. Even the steamy scenes left me shrugging my shoulders. The movie tried hard to be bold, to shock, and yet, it was still the Coke Zero of titillation.
The characters were typical of the trope and not at all charismatic. This was the plot the WHOLE TIME:
Just crawling its sorry, slow ass to the end.
I've seen this type of story done better and hey, I'll be the first to admit, it takes a lot to make me cover my mouth and gasp. I watched "Dangerous Drugs of Sex" 4 times and 2 out of 3 of the "Human Centipede" movies.
So, one would have to pull out all of the stops to make me :
In the end, this movie was pretty much what I thought it was going to be from the trailer.
FINAL VERDICT: GUILTY AS A CRIMINAL JUMPING ACROSS THE DESK TO BEAT UP THE JUDGE. And don't you get any bright ideas movie--wait, what am I worried about? You didn't have any bright ideas to begin with, that would require originality. I sentence you to 10 years in a maximum security prison where you can learn the true meaning of grime. Guards, remove this movie from my presence.
